DO I NEED A DOCTOR’S REFERRAL?
No you do not need any form or referral from a doctor or a consultant.
However if you have any usual information for example a recent hospital discharge summary or operation note, these can be very helpful in your personalised treatment.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT FROM MY APPOINTMENT?
Your initial consultation will involve a detailed discussion where you are able to describe your pain/ symptoms and your physiotherpaist will ask you further details to establish the nature of your pain.
You will then undergo a full specialist examination appropriate to your problem. You may be asked to undress for parts of the assessment therefore wearing, shorts and sensible underwear is advisable.
